PRODUCT UPDATE! Carhartt Loose Fit Carpenter Jeans

A lot of people value their workwear because of how consistent it is over time. Carhartt is a company that keeps core styles in their catalog for decades. This leads to a comfort and familiarity with a product line that you can depend on, whether it be the color, fit, fabric, and performance on the job. So when Carhartt decides to update a core item, it is not taken lightly. The Carhartt B13 classic loose fit denim has been around since I was a kid, so we are talking decades old.

The new Carhartt Loose Fit Carpenter Jeans are not a departure from tradition, but an update to the aesthetics. Both the old model (B13) and the new model (104941) are loose fit. They both feature a hammer loop, double tool pockets, triple-needle stitching, and bar tack reinforcement on the vital stress points. The new model is also 100% cotton, just like its predecessor, is cut with the same rise, and same leg opening to fit over work boots.

The washes are slightly different than the previous versions. The darker denim has a darker stitching and slightly worn in look, while the lighter wash has an instant vintage look.

So while the washes and stitches are different, the core of the product remains intact. This update isn't a departure from the old, but a fresh take on a classic style. So far we have seen people really like the new colors in the denim. While change from the familiar is always a little tough, this one feels like a welcomed, fresh update.
