The Everyday Collection
Introducing the Everyday Collection of workwear from Dave's New York!
As we have been on our journey of creating our own products, we hope to provide items that are of good quality, that serve a purpose, and can become a staple in your rotation. The Everyday Collection seeks to be all those things.
The Everyday Collection that we are presenting has our Everyday Canvas Pant, Everyday Canvas Shirt, and Everyday Flannel Shirt. A three-piece collection with 4 colors in each style. The goal of this collection is to make instantly-classic workwear that can serve you on a job site or on a weekend. Clean looks that go well at a meeting or a meet-up.
Here is a look at each of the products:
Everyday Canvas Pant - A mid-weight canvas (9-ounce) that is 97% cotton with a bit of flex. The fabric is made to be durable, but flexible. Features classic 3/4 top pockets in a true workwear style and a right-thigh cell phone pocket. From the front the pants are clean with no hammer loop or tool pockets.
They also have a slight taper from the knee to the ankle so they are not baggy or loose at the end. This means it looks great with sneakers or boots, and can pair well with a button down or sweater. The mid-weight canvas is great for medium-duty work. It is not as heavy as our 12-ounce Foundation Pant canvas, but the fact that it is canvas will make it more durable over time than most cotton twill pants.
Everyday Canvas Shirt - Made from the same cloth as our Everyday Canvas Pant, this shirt is built to last. A 9-ounce shirt is heavy and durable so this is great for use as an over-shirt or a shirt-jac. Also since it has that flex fabric, the shirt moves with you and does not feel like it is restrictive or pulling.
We wanted it to have a clean look as well, so we gave it a hidden front placket, flap-closure chest pockets, and no outward patch or tag. We kept our branding subtle with a small tag on the inside of the placket and put our contrast stitching on the button-hole of the cuff. The solid colors mix well with canvas or denim pieces.
Everyday Flannel Shirt - This is a heavy, 8-ounce, 100% cotton brushed flannel shirt. Fitted like our canvas shirt, this shirt has some extra room to be worn as an over-shirt or just as a heavy-duty flannel. It's soft and comfortable so that it feels great on the skin. The heavier fabric will also help trap in body heat.
We want this to be your go-to when the weather gets chilly, so we have it in 4 classic colors. We also kept the look clean, with no outward branding, just a hint of Dave's with a tag under the front-placket and contrast stitching on the sleeve button-hole.
The Everyday Collectionis meant to be a throwback to when you could rely on your clothes to fit, look good, and last. We find our inspiration in old catalogs and the clothes we wore growing up. We try to give them a modern twist on these classic canvas and flannel garments so that you can be confident and proud when you put them on.
